E' stata inoltre  l'occasione per conferire il Premio Erich Fried, che quest'anno è andato a Peter Waterhouse

Giselher W. Hoffmann was born 1958 in Windhoek/Namibia as a grandchild of German immigrants, grew up on a farm. 
Since 1978  had been attendending a  training as professional hunter, works several years as hunter in the Kalahari.
 
Since 1984   lives with his wife and son in Swakopmund/Namibia as director of a safari company and free-lance writer.

He is the most important German-speaking 'post-colonial' writer in Africa.
He addreses historical and current Nabibian issues. His most famous novel ist "Die Erstgeborenen" (The Firstborn, 1991, and is told from the perspective of a San group that finds itself pitted agaist Geman Settlers.
Nunzia Peluso has interviewed the Author.
